Waiakea Hawaiian Volcanic Water will be the first bottled water brand to use a fully degradable plastic bottle. The company announced that its new one hundred percent recyclable bottles will be launched sometime this year. The technology behind the new plastic bottles will help the speed up its degrading process to fifteen years, as oppose to regular bottles that could take over a thousand years to fully break down.
